Woah! Hennessy VSOP has new bottle design and packaging!

I have an issue with blog title, as you can see. Oh well, its alright. I just want to share with you all briefly a party+launch I went last Friday which was pretty interesting.

Hennessy VSOP has launched their new bottle design and packaging! And this is designed by Chris Bangle, the former chief designer of BMW! Vote now, you want to see the designer or the bottle first?

‘Chris Bangle picked up his pencil and drew this cognac’s new silhouette. He accentuated the curves on the sides of the bottle, thereby reinforcing its silhouette’s dynamics, then he lengthened its neck and straightened its shoulders, stretching it vertically. Inspired by the Hennessy V.S.O.P. bottle created in 1954, Chris Bangle chose to confirm this upward movement with an enriched base resembling a pedestal to distinguish the whole with opulence while maintaining its stability.

With a carefully designed optical effect, the front of the bottle evokes a pyramid perspective, suggesting an upward vanishing point to draw the eye toward the top of the bottle, where Chris Bangle has chosen to engrave the legendary arm and axe of the Hennessy family into the glass itself. The symbolic Hennessy V.S.O.P. oval label is in dark grey ennobled with golden embossing a few millimetres from this.’

 

‘The box that the bottle comes in has also benefited from this renewal, giving its edges over to a more modern vision: the sides have been refined and dramatised by photographer Adam Savitch. Anti-counterfeiting techniques for the Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle were also developed: a laser stamp for the 35-cl, 70-cl and 3-litre bottles and a hologram of inimitable complexity (now with horizontal lines forming a grape cluster) seal the cap, ensuring product integrity.’

Pretty hor! I also want to own one.

Looking both forward and back, comes from Chris Bangle’s training; he always thinks in terms of industrial design. For him, a product cannot be summed up by a function or an aesthetic: a product is living thing.

“Designing for Hennessy gave me the same sensations as working on designs for fast BMWs or a great Rolls Royce. It is that experience of a unique emotion.”

Saw him when we went out to washroom then the fangirls inside us urged us to ask for one more photo with him again :D

I had really no idea what is Cinco De Mayo.

AHHHH just back from JB. Am in KL again. Before I start ranting, HAPPY MUMMY’S DAY! Muax muax muax

Was back to home for a few days before mothers day. And the next time I go home probably is end of July or August as there’s no public holidays in this 2 months :(

Yesterday I went to have Taro Yami with mummy after shopping as the weather was extremely cruel to us. Mummy said she never try this kind of dessert before so brought her there :3 And she likes it ! Btw Taro Yami is one of the many dessert shops just like Snowflakes. It recently become my new love after a friend brought me there  

I just anyhow want to put some photo because I afraid you will forget how I look due to the long MIA wtf

Yes this is another anyhow photo please dont click ‘close’ now HAHAHAH eh btw my friend said this make up made me look older. What do you think? I thought is quite ok leh.

Finally I remember I got something interesting to update fml. That is Cinco De Mayo. *silence*

Sounds pretty atas and reminded me of mayonnaise wtf. No laa it is actually something very interesting. 5 May is a as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy. It is now celebrated with performances and colourful dances, with good food and beer along with it.

And this is brought to you by Corona Extra, the No.1 Mexican Beer in Las-Carretes, Ampang. My advice to my lovely readers is to read this when you are feeling full. Not advisable during midnight or anytime feeling hungry. Reason? I am actually hungry right now when writing this post and the following photos just made me got even hungrier fml

But I am sorry cause I cant remember any of their name or even their price :( So I dare not to say this is a food review. Just to show you some food photos and maybe u can try look for it when you are in there k.

This is the appetiser which Naomi said she miss this dish really very much. After I tried it, I second that! The sauce is a little bit spicy but goes very well with the bread.

You can wrap them in the bread and make it like popiah

Can put this inside your own ‘popiah’ as well

 

Inside this is CHILLI!!! but surprisingly it is not spicy.

Rib eye. This is good. Love the sweet sauce.

Corona goes very well with all these food. It soothes the tinge of spiciness. It is quite smooth also.

 

Ermm the chocolate pie is very sweet and the outer layer is quite hard. Didn’t get to try their tiramisu but others said it was good. Perhaps I should try their Tiramisu next time :p

Played some boardgame and got myself some souvenir although I didn’t win. Who is using iPhone and want the Corona phone cover can just tell me hahah. Photo courtesy of Corona Malaysia

Aloha people ! Do you miss me *pout* hahahaha

It has been a while and I just started my new semester. GAHHH some assignment is driving me crazy. Anyone have any idea what new and creative food that is not available in market? Must be related to chocolate. I ran out of idea and I can see my hair turning white hahaha i m just joking at the last part choichoichoi

Btw the purpose of this post is to share something very awesome with all of you :D That is Mr Asahi!!

Do you know Mr Asahi is in Malaysia? Uh? You didn’t know that? Wait.. Not even Asahi? OMG you don’t know what you’ve missed!

This picture tells u that dont take picture when there is food inside your mouth. I look like I am having constipation wtf. I went to check out Mr Asahi when he was in Sunway Giza. My first time meeting Mr Asahi and I have to say he is pretty amazing. A different kind of experience. Nom nom nom the popcorn like nobody’s business opsss. Oh and I can have my curl back with some mousse wootssss. Do you prefer me in curl or straight hair?

Hennessy XO Appreciation Grows April 2012

A short update is still an update, what’s more I know you will still love me no matter what. Right? *grin*

I find holidays is boring but I rather to be bored than go back for classes. After my exam I stayed in KL for a week more for this Hennessy XO Appreciation Grows April 2012 featuring Chef Edward Lee, a James Beard finalist for Best Chef and winner of the American Iron Chef, among many other accolades which starting from 18 April to 21 April in Equatorial Hotel.

I am not the guest… sadly. But I do wish one day I can get the invite and attend the dinner as a guest. One day… one day.

Too lazy to show u around the whole event but just photos of myself, ok? 4 different days in 4 different outfits but same background HAHAHA

Day 1

Thank you Spiel for the photo. I didn’t know the theme is Black and White, and yet I wore such a colourful dress. In case you are wondering, yes it is a scarf

In my work place. The place is freezing cold as I got all the air cond by myself. Work is fine. And note to self to bring some snacks and a jacket the next day. Had Ngau Kee beef noodles as supper! *happy girl*

Day 2

Hair looks weird but I don’t know why. Thanks Andy for the photo :)

The super nice chef suddenly brought 2 plates of dessert for me and Spiel ! So happy I wanna die ! And guess what? Spiel doesn’t like it so I had both of them myself HAHAHAHA. It contains chocolate, coffee and Hennessy. It tastes a little bit bitter but nice. Supper time is Bak Kut Teh at Jalan Chow Kit (I think) hehe

 

Day 3

Almost bare-face as it is taken before I went home :/ I have this very bad habit to touch my face n wipe off eye shadow when I think it looks a bit smudge and ended up looking ugly.

This is me when just reached the work place. See how much difference! *stab self* Shawn brought a lot a lot of steak and duck to us. And we were so full. Not to forget I ate a packet of chips with a little bit of Hennessy also. Ahhh life hahaha

Meet Sam Tan . Met Timothy Tiah as well but photo is not with me. Very nice of them to come visit me behind the photo wall… hahaha

Day 4

Andy flew off to Singapore for Johnnie Walker Jet Black Singapore. So Jonathan was here on day 4! Btw I think Andy did a good job for Johnnie Walker Sg.
